    Technical University of Varna is a state institution of higher education and it is the first Bulgarian university with accreditation by the European University Association.

    The University is situated on 200 daa in a beautiful and calm part of the city, not far away from the sea coast. There are 12 study buildings in the campus with 86 modernly equipped seminar and 50 lecture halls and a large sports complex. More than 230 excellently equipped laboratories, training simulators, modern halls with multimedia and phonetics labs ensure the high quality of the study process. The student hostel is located near the university and can provide more than 1500 beds for full-time students.

    Students are trained at 4 faculties: Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Machine Building, Faculty of Shipbuilding, Faculty of Computing and Automation. Within the structure of the University there are also 2 colleges - Technological College of Dobrich and College at Technical University of Varna.

    Students are admitted to TU-Varna in 28 majors in the educational-qualification degree of Bachelor in compliance with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS)in 8 professional domains in the following areas:

    • Technical Science – Machine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Automation, Communication and Computer Engineering, Power Energetics, Transport, Navigation and Aviation, including Marine Science and Ecology;  General Engineering with majors: Industrial Design, Industrial Management and Protection of Civilians against Disasters and Emergencies;
    • Social Work - major of Social Management;
    • Plant-growing – major of Agronomy.

    Under the Student Council there are 9 student clubs which students may join according to their own interests. The Shell Eco-Marathon Automoto Club, the Robotics and Mechatronics Club, the Marine Club, the TU IT++ Club and the Cinema and Photo Technologies Club are especially popular and successful at national and international competitions.

    The university offers the best possible conditions for quality sports training outdoor and in a multi-functional Euro-certified sport hall for nine types of sport. The representative teams of the University are high placed at the national hockey, swimming, football, track-and-field athletics and other competitions.
